A practice-based review of available research indicated that there is little evidence available supporting the effectiveness of Melodic Intonation Therapy (MIT) for children with apraxia. A number of procedural and methodological problems make it difficult to claim linkages between the characteristics of Melodic Intonation Therapy and the outcomes reported in the studies.
